DesiretourS will be on a new high as a chopper service for tourists, the first one of its kind in the country, The Six-seater Desire Chopper will airlift tourist from kovalam to various tourism destinations such as Munnar, Kumarakom, Kochi, Thekkedy, Alleppy and even Guruvayur. For a tourist, time and convenience are the gains. Road travel from kovalam to munnar takes a weary 10 hours. But in Desire Chopper, it takes less than an hour and the journey is free of the bumps and dust. The company has already been granted clearance from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Except in Kovalam where a helipad would be set up soon, in all other destinations private helipads have been arranged. The state tourism department, which hopes that the service would be a success, is planning more novel initiatives for quality connections between destinations including sea and air taxis.
